The first ideas I had for photos having a golden apple as subject are so old that I can't even remember when it happened to write some notes and to sketch some rough layout.
Nowadays seems easy to do it ("...hey, there is computer!"), but in that time the only way was to actually make a mock-up, so I dropped the idea that time.
Eventually it happened last year (2009) that I met a friend who was making some ceramic apples and in the same period I found out another master goldplater. Well, this is why I'm finally having a real golden apple to play with...

Le mie prime idee per delle foto che avessero una mela d'oro come soggetto sono talmente vecchie che non ricordo nemmeno quando le ho annotate e schizzate.
Al giorno d'oggi sembra facile farlo ("...hey, c'è il computer!"), ma a quel tempo l'unico modo era quello di costruire un modello, così lasciai perdere l'idea.
Per caso l'anno scorso (2009) è successo che ho incontrato un amico il quale stava facendo delle mele in ceramica e nello stesso periodo ho conosciuto un maestro doratore... Bene, ecco perché ho finalmente una vera mela d'oro con cui giocare...
